| Opening weekend! This lake had been closed for 4 months and
the fishing was awesome. The first day and a half, I fished alone with just my guide “Chalo”. You see, this time I traveled
alone – no fishing “buddy”. For some reason, men just don’t like being beat by a woman. Anyway, Chalo and I caught about 40
fish weighing between 3 – 9 lbs mostly on soft plastics. The next day and a half, I fished with Wild Bill. This was my
second trip to Lake Huites and I think I have found a fishing bonanza. Of course, pictures tell all. Wild Bill has just completed his “Trophy Bass Lodge” and the name implies everything that is Lake Huites. As soon as I return from my 3rd trip here in May of 2003, I will post more pictures and have more stories. It is an incredible place to stay and the fishing is simply “THE BEST”. I am so thankful that I found “Wild Bill” and I look forward to more fishing trips where the chance of catching another “hawg” is just a cast away. Direct links to individual trip photos are below, or for all photos on one page, click the "Lake Huites" link. Caution, Huites all-in-one page is graphically heavy and will take time to load. |
